History: Wanda was built and designed in the R. C. Masters Shipyards in Cabbage Tree Creek in Brisbane. The boat was built out of Queensland Kauri pine planks as ocean going racing yacht. Her sister ship, Malveena, was built the year prior as a Malveena Class ocean racer. Only two boats have been built in this design. Little is known of her history and would like some more information.
The boat was purchased in April 2011 from John Green who had the boat for 10 years without much knowledge of its history.
Wanda just had a makeover and left a great impression at opening of the season at the Fremantle Sailing Club, just in time for the World Sailing Championship held here in WA. She is berthed at the Fremantle Cursing Yacht Club is in frequent use.
